Buckcherry - 'Dirty Mind'

Here is a forgotten gem from a time not so long ago. Buckcherry formed in the mid-90s with an affinity for killer metal and tattoos. And when they released their major label debut in 1999, they were sure to combine both. With a cover featuring a tattooed seductress, the self-titled album contained a slew of slicing metal action, including 'Lit Up,' 'Check Your Head,' and this little diddy, 'Dirty Mind.'

Having forgotten about this song years ago, I was reminded of its musical deliciousness this weekend during a night out on the town. Made up of all the traditional elements of the typical rock anthem, 'Dirty Mind's sum is greater than its parts. The climactic build-up in the beginning, the crunchy guitar, the foul language, the screaming by
Joshua Todd and the hooky guitars all combine to make anybody wanna bust out the air guitar.

Enjoy.
